Even the most qualified business owners and managers can benefit from competent, objective feedback.
RBM provides management advisory services in the areas of Cash Flow Management, Bank Financing, and Business Performance Monitoring.
Cash Flow Management
In business, Cash is King. As a business owner it is important to know the timing of the inflows and outflows of cash. A cash crisis can be emotionally devastating, and it can even cripple a business. If you have ever had “to beg, borrow, or rob Peter to pay Paul”, you know how important cash flow is to your business.
Our Cash Flow Management service allows you to:
- Know when, where, and how your cash needs will occur
- Know what the best sources are for meeting your additional cash needs
- Be prepared to meet these needs when they occur, by keeping good relationships with bankers and other creditors
The starting point for avoiding a cash crisis is allowing RBM to develop a cash flow projection for you. We can help you develop both short-term (weekly or monthly) cash flow projections for you to help you manage daily cash and long-term (annual or 3-5 year) cash flow projections to help you develop the necessary capital strategy to meet your business needs.
Creating an accurate cash flow projection is just one of the many cash management services RBM provides.
RBM can also assist in:
- Obtaining an appropriate line of credit
- Implementing cash collection acceleration techniques
- Implementing proven effective collection policies
- Implementing proven effective payment policies
- Assist in obtaining the maximum rate of return on idle cash
Need money to expand and grow your business? Need money to get you through the tight spots during the year? RBM can help.
Requesting a business loan without adequate preparation can send the wrong message to the lender that your business is high risk. Therefore, it pays to be prepared and organized in your approach to obtaining financing. Put your best foot forward by allowing RBM to prepare a winning loan proposal for you.
A loan proposal prepared by RBM comes complete with the following:
The executive summary concisely states the purpose of the loan, the exact amount of money required, the collateral used to secure the loan, and an explanation of what the loan will be used for and why its needed.
Pro-forma Cash Flow Projection based on integrated Income Statement and Balance Sheet
We use your data and underlying assumptions to develop a fully integrated model that your banker can easily read and buy into.
Owners Personal Financial Statements
In addition to providing copies of the last 3 years of personal tax returns, RBM will also assist with the preparation of personal financial statements to provide to your bank.
If requested, we can help substantiate your financial needs/position to your banker in person.
Business Performance Monitoring
Continually monitoring the performance of your business is critical. Through continuous monitoring you can spot negative trends early and take corrective action before serious operational and financial problems arise. RBM can assist you in the development and analysis of operational and financial key performance indicators (KPIs).
The Business Performance Report gives business owners a quick and easy to read report provided on a timely basis to keep you up-to-date on where your business is now and what direction your business is going.
The Business Performance Report consists of:
- Key Financial Data charted by month
- Condensed Historical Monthly Financial Summary
– Balance Sheet
– Profit & Loss (P&L)
– Cash Flow Statement
- Ratio Analysis
– Liquidity/Stability Ratios
– Profitability Ratios
– Overall Efficiency Ratios
– Specific Efficiency Ratios
- Ratio and Trend Analysis in Plain English
- Business Valuation
- Action Items
How it works… You provide RBM with the financial statements you prepare or we use the financial statements prepared as part of the Monthly Bookkeeping or Controller-on-Call services. This financial information is incorporated into the Business Performance Report. The Business Performance Report is then used as a tool during a monthly consulting meeting to understand how well the business is performing compared to prior months, where the cash went, whether the value of the business increased or decreased, accounts receivable management, etc.
If you want to pursue faster growth and bigger profits, the Business Performance Report is an excellent tool to accurately decipher the information your accounting system provides and help you understand what the numbers mean.
